1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Tushar Chaudhary ("we", "us"), based in India, handles information in the Comic Fusion app — a browser for third-party reading sites, a reader community, a set of optional AI tools, and a social feed.

In short: we collect your account details, the community content you post, reading data you choose to sync, and the content you submit to the AI tools. We do not use any advertising or analytics trackers, we don't sell your data, and the app asks for only one device permission — Internet.

2. Information we collect

Account and identity. When you sign up (by email or Google), our authentication provider gives us your email address, username, display name, and profile picture. We keep a basic profile — an account ID, handle, name, and avatar — to run your account and social features.

Community content. Reactions, comments, GIFs you pick, votes, follows, series-room posts, and any reports you file are stored and linked to your account so the community features work.

Reading and browsing data. Your in-app browsing history, saved Library, any custom sites you add, and a computed "taste" profile are stored on your device. If you're signed in, a compact summary — the series you're reading, your saved library, taste tags, and a log of chapters you advance through (including the link to the third-party page) — is synced to our servers to power your profile, "Continue Reading", and the Reading Diary that your followers can see.

AI tool submissions. When you use a tool, we send the specific content you chose to our processing backend — page images for translation, colorisation, or art restoration, or chapter text for audio narration — together with your sign-in token and a device ID. Generated results are stored on cloud storage so you can open them again.

A device identifier. We generate a random ID for your install to link tool jobs and credits to your device. This is not your Android Advertising ID and is not derived from your hardware.

Support messages. If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you send.

3. What we do NOT collect

No ad or analytics trackers. No advertising ID. No precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, or messages. No crash-tracking SDKs. The app requests only the Internet permission.

We do not build an advertising profile of you, and we do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

4. How we use your information

• to provide the app, your account, and the community and feed features;
• to run the AI tools and manage your tool credits;
• to keep the service secure and prevent abuse;
• to respond to your support requests;
• to comply with legal obligations and to improve the app.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the app, and only as needed:

• our authentication provider (sign-in and account security);
• our database and hosting providers (storing your profile and community content);
• our AI processing backend and its sub-processors — for example a translation service for text, image and audio processing services, and cloud storage for the results;
• a GIF search provider, which receives your GIF search terms;
• Google Play, if and when you make a purchase (we never receive your card details).

The third-party websites you open in the browser receive requests directly from your device, just as with any browser. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect people's safety, and as part of a business transfer. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Third-party websites

The in-app browser loads websites that you choose. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don't control. To make features like covers and reactions work, we sometimes fetch a page's images or public metadata through our own server — but we don't use your browsing to advertise to you.

7. Advertising (coming later)

We may later show ads within the social feed only — never inside the in-app browser. If we do, we will update this policy to name the ad partner and explain what it collects, and a premium plan may remove ads.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your account and community data while your account is active. Data stored on your device stays there until you clear it or uninstall the app. AI results kept on cloud storage are retained for a limited period. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

9. Your choices and rights

You can view and update your profile in the app and through your account settings. You can sign out to stop syncing reading data, and remove on-device data by uninstalling the app. Depending on where you live — including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act — you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to raise a grievance.

10. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. No app or online service can be completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

11. Children

Comic Fusion is for people aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.

12. Where your data is processed

Our providers may store and process data in countries other than yours, including outside India. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards for the transfer.

13. Device backup

Because Android's automatic backup is enabled, the app's on-device data may be backed up to your own Google account. That backup is controlled by your device and Google account settings, not by us.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, highlight them in the app.
